The stitching is way off also. Use the rivets as you please. As shown on part.

In 1978 I pulled this pad out of my Challenger. The 1st owner had cut up metal frame area where speaker sits. So I made it right. I was the second owner.

I just recently massaged the speaker area back into stock shape. Thank again and good luck. This just might be your last chance to avoid those pitfalls.

Plus two factory special rivets. Not pulled apart from the metal frame. Located at on the pads right side edge of speaker cut out area. The grain pattern on repose, they just don't have it right.

Fortunately that's the only real negative spot. The repose are OK. And part fx9 shown in 1970 parts book.

But someone might want to install a stock speaker. But that's why its not dash pad. When the 1st owner tried to reshape that area. Its high enough and most of the shippers just raised their rates again Jan 2nd.

But not like a real original part. As you can see the frames shinny metal.

He got a little carried away and cut the top skin. It wasn't necessary as the speaker grille did hide everything.

I don't know why, but assume he was trying to install a different speaker maybe. Included in this offer is the correct 1970 Challenger only speaker grille. Elsewhere by all actual shipping costs. I wanted to keep the skin as original possible.

Being a 48 year old dash pad, its in real nice shape. The speaker grille part even underside has no rust out, just what i'd call patina. Along with the made in Canada, part number and other ink stamps. Is a real 1970 Challenger only part.

Plus the lot amount yellow crayon marks. Even the black coloring has a different sheen to it. This dash pad has not been died, recolored or touched up. Its not bad and easy to miss, but there.
